Do you ever wish you had a magic pill that could stop your stressed out feelings? Stress can be like an uncontrollable monster at times. We know stess is bad for our health, but sometimes we can't help getting sucked into the latest crisis at work or home. A warm, dark environment can be comforting when you feel stressed. Though it is not always possible to step into a warm dark room, you can try warming your hands in a pair of gloves and then cupping them over your eyes to create darkness. This environment is comforting and can cause a feeling of safety and relief.
Eating right will help you control your stress level in life. Food nourishes your body and helps you to control your emotions much better. The more fruits and vegetables you eat, the more energy that you will have to deal with situations that may otherwise overwhelm you without feeling as stressed.
Even though running or other forms of exercise may seem like a real annoying experience, with time you may learn to love it. Try to keep an open mind about exercise and you will see that it helps you to feel less stressed as well as much more energized throughout the day.
You should just stop and breathe when you feel that you are being overtaken by stress and anxiety. Taking deep breaths is a great way for you to take your mid off of whatever is causing your anxiety and focus your attention on something else. This can be done anywhere and can really help.
If you want a calmer and less stressful lifestyle, try meditating. Meditating is a great way to remove yourself from the stresses of day to day life and to give yourself a relaxing break. Try meditating for a few minutes from your desk at work, or pulling over and meditating during a long drive. You'll find it makes getting through the day a lot easier.
